Great Flemish painting from the first half of the 17th century. Oil on canvas artwork depicting a splendid crucifixion attributable to the workshop of the famous painter Antoon Van Dyck (1599-1641). A pupil and friend of Rubens, he was an excellent portraitist and became the first court painter for King Charles I of England. A painting of notable pictorial quality which can be found in particular in the realization of Christ's complexion and in the dramatic rendering of the atmosphere. Spectacular 20th century frame in carved and gilded wood, highly decorative. Painting that has undergone restoration with relining, replacement of the frame and restoration of color in some small points. Overall in excellent state of conservation. Sight size H 132 x W 95 cm.
